Separation Anxiety and Related Behaviors
Separation anxiety is an often misunderstood and exhausting behaviour challenge—let Beth help you and your dog.
Does your dog struggle when left alone - barking or crying excessively, destroying items, or breaking out of crates? While it can feel incredibly isolating, you are not alone, and help is available.
Beth Berkobien is a certified behaviour professional who specializes in separation-related behaviours. She lives with two dogs who experience separation challenges themselves, and her firsthand journey supporting them led her to pursue advanced certification and focused expertise in this area.
Separation anxiety is best assessed virtually, as the presence of another person in the home can significantly alter how a dog responds to being alone. Beth meets with clients via Google Meet for a 60-minute consultation, during which she conducts a thorough history and assessment of your dog’s behaviours, triggers, and daily routine to create a clear path forward.

“I’ve been working with Christina for just over a year after a referral to her from our vet. My dog struggles with fear based anxiety causing aggression. She’s been able to provide many tools and suggestions to help combat this. While it’s a work in progress, my family is now aware of triggers and how to handle my dog. A year ago I wasn’t confident I’d be able to keep my dog because of his unpredictability and bites due to fear of him hurting someone. Now I can’t remember the last time he’s bitten anyone and his warning signs are much more noticeable. She offers flexibility and so many options for training that is unlike anything else out there. Can’t say enough good things about Christina and would highly recommend for anyone with a reactive or fearful dog.”
